Mayor Briley is taking a hands-on approach to make sure that every child can get a quality education, no matter where they live, and no matter where they go to school.
Demanding more accountability from the School Board
– Mayor Briley is taking a stronger role in Metro Nashville Public School finances, operations, and human resources than any previous mayor.
Establishing an Education Kitchen Cabinet

Pushing for pay raises for teachers
– Mayor Briley's budget allows MNPS to give teachers a 4.5% pay increase - the biggest pay raise given to Nashville teachers in more than a decade.
Creating scholarships for MNPS graduates
